A thrilling new water ride will touch down at the Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom next year.

The Queensbury Town Planning Board has approved construction on "The Tornado" to begin this winter and spring.

The ride will resemble a giant blue and yellow checkered funnel turned on its side.
