Park Policies

Hey Now!... Keep it Safe!



Great Escape Central is committed to letting all of our visitors at our site to have an enjoyable, memorable and, above all, a safe experience at The Great Escape. Guests who "break the rules" may be ejected from the park without a refund. The park reserves the right to check all bags upon entering the park. A copy of park rules is available upon request once you arrive at the park.
 


Coolers & Picnic Baskets
No food or beverage, with the exception of an unopened, sealed water bottle or an empty plastic container for refill, will be allowed into the park. For the convenience of our guests, we have conveniently placed picnic tables just outside the gates. Furthermore, guests can come and go throughout the day, as they please, since the park has a very flexible reentry policy. All guests need do is have their hand stamped and they can come and go all day long.

Dress Code
The Great Escape enforces a dress code in keeping with our family environment. Tops, shorts, and shoes must be worn at all times outside of Splashwater Kingdom. Clothing with inappropriate words, phrases or graphics is prohibited. Proper swimwear is required in Splashwater Kingdom. No cut-offs, thongs, or denim will be allowed in Splashwater Kingdom. All clothing is subject to management review and discretion.

Line Jumping
Line Jumping is defined as: cutting in front of other guests, leaving the line for any reason and attempting to re-enter the line at the same point, or saving places for other members of your party. Once you move out of the line, you must go to the end of the line.

Child Swap Policy
It is the intention of The Great Escape to allow families to stay together throughout the day. Therefore, guests with children that don't meet the height requirement for a certain ride may take their child into the queue line to wait with them. At the time of boarding, one member of the party may wait with the child while the others ride. Upon return, both parties swap places.

Park Re-entry
If you wish to leave The Great Escape and return the same day, have your hand stamped at the Exit Shop and you will be re-admitted at no extra charge. However, due to special events, re-admission may not be allowed. Such notice will be posted at the Main Entrance.

Alcoholic Beverages
No alcoholic beverages are allowed to be carried into the park. The Great Escape's Security Officers will check all bags at the park's front entrance. You must be 21 years of age to purchase or consume alcohol. Proper photo identification is required for everyone purchasing alcohol.

Weather Policy
Some rides, shows and attractions will close temporarily during electrical storms, rain, high winds, and other severe weather conditions. As soon as conditions permit safe operation, these attractions will re-open. The Great Escape does not issue rain checks or refunds.

Announcements & Messages
Personal announcements and pages cannot be broadcast in the park. Pages are only allowed in case of a medical emergency at the Hospitality Center.

Smoking
Smoking is prohibited in all enclosed buildings, ride queue lines, food stand lines, and Splashwater Kingdom.

Photography
Cameras are not permitted on rides for the safety of our guests.

Safety
Guests with certain body proportions involving height and/or weight may be denied the opportunity to ride attractions where safety restraints will not operate as designed. Please ask a ride attendant before waiting in line if you have any questions.

First Aid
The First Aid Station is located between the Bavarian Palace and Cannonball Express Ride in the Fest Area of the park. EMTs are on duty to assist guests with special needs. Refrigeration of medication, as well as storage of medical equipment, is available. Due to the complexities of each individual's medical condition, The Great Escape employees cannot determine how suitable a ride may be for you. Also, be aware that there is always a possibility that an emergency situation could occur which would necessitate being removed from a ride or ride area. We strongly recommend that you carefully consider your health and comfort, along with the nature of each ride, before boarding.

Rides
Not all rides are wheelchair accessible. Please check with Guest Relations at the Main Entrance for a complete list of height requirements and accessibility.

Wheelchair Rental
Wheelchairs are available through our stroller/wagon rental, located in International Village. Wheelchairs are rented on an availability basis. A rental fee is required.

Parking
Parking for guests with disabilities is located in the parking lot near our Front Entrance. The designated areas are marked with the proper signs and proper vehicle identification must be displayed. If all of the reserved spaces are filled, please see a parking attendant or our Guest Relations Office for assistance.

Restrooms
All restrooms at The Great Escape are wheelchair accessible. For our guests with special needs, unisex bathrooms are located at the First Aid building and in the Red Garter Saloon.

Guide Dogs
Guide dogs and service dogs are welcome in the park. We request that on those rides which the animal cannot ride safely, a responsible person from your party remain with the animal in your absence.

Theaters and Shows
All of our theaters provide reserved seating areas able to accommodate wheelchairs. Please arrive at the venue ten minutes before the show time to secure any assistance needed.

Upgrades
Guests are able to upgrade their paid admission ticket to a 2-Day Ticket at Guest Relations for $10, plus tax. You must have your ticket stub available. All upgrades must be purchased on the first admission day and be used within 72 hours.
