Great Escape Central debuted on January 1st, 2006. The site is owned and operated by Rick, aka "nyguy". A former Great Escape employee.

There are many fan sites out there that are dedicated to The Great Escape. Great Escape Central, however.. was the first site dedicated to the park. Many members of our forums have dubbed Great Escape Central as "the official unofficial website of The Great Escape". We were, and still are the original Great Escape fan site. We also moderate and own our own online forum, in which we have many exclusive features, such as member only photo updates, podcasts, etc.

Our goal is to provide the most comprehensive news regarding The Great Escape. We must stress that we are in no way associated with Six Flags, Inc., The Great Escape, or The Great Escape Lodge - and the views discussed on our site, and our forums don't necessarily reflect those of Six Flags, Inc.,The Great Escape, The Great Escape Lodge, or Great Escape Central.
